banana 香蕉
(1) bananas (to be):

注：to go bananas:
a. to become crazy. 發(fā)瘋,神經(jīng)錯(cuò)亂
例：
I'm so bored I'm going bananas.
我煩得要死，快發(fā)瘋了。
b. to become wild with anger 狂怒,氣得發(fā)瘋
例：
She went bananas when she found him cheating.
她發(fā)現(xiàn)他欺騙時(shí)氣得要命。
(2) play second banana (to):
to be second choice

例：

(3) top banana:
main boss

apple 蘋果
(1) apple of one's eye (to be the):
to be one's favorite 掌上明珠;心愛物
例：
She is the apple of her father's eye.

(2) Big Apple (the):
New York
大蘋果城(即紐約)
例：
I live in the Big Apple. 我住在大蘋果城。
(3) compare apples and oranges (to):
to compare two things that simply cannot be compared.
比較兩個(gè)無法相比的事物
例：
That's ridiculous.Now you're comparing apples and oranges.

注：這是對(duì)某種冒犯性行為做出報(bào)復(fù)后說的話。

grapes 葡萄
sour grapes
