　　紀(jì)伯倫(Kahlil Gibran)是黎巴嫩阿拉伯詩(shī)人、作家、畫(huà)家。被稱為“藝術(shù)天才”、“黎巴嫩文壇驕子”，是阿拉伯現(xiàn)代小說(shuō)、藝術(shù)和散文的主要奠基人，20世紀(jì)阿拉伯新文學(xué)道路的開(kāi)拓者之一。

　　You were born together, and together you shall be forevermore.

　　You shall be together when white wings of death scatter your days.

　　Aye, you shall be together even in the silent memory of God.

　　But let there be spaces in your togetherness,

　　And let the winds of the heavens dance between you.

　　Love one another but make not a bond of love:

　　Let it rather be a moving sea between the shores of your souls.

　　你們一同出生，而且永遠(yuǎn)相伴。

　　當(dāng)死亡白色的羽翼掠過(guò)你們的生命時(shí)，你們也應(yīng)在一起。

　　是的，即使在神靜默的記憶中，你們也將始終相守。

　　好讓空中的風(fēng)在你們之間舞蹈。

　　彼此相愛(ài)，但不要讓愛(ài)成為束縛。

　　Fill each other's cup but drink not from one cup.

　　Give one another of your bread but eat not from the same loaf.

　　Sing and dance together and be joyous, but let each one of you be alone,

　　Even as the strings of a lute are alone though they quiver with the same music.

　　Give your hearts, but not into each other's keeping.

　　For only the hand of Life can contain your hearts.

　　注滿彼此的杯盞，但不要只從一只杯中啜飲。

　　要將自己的面包贈(zèng)與對(duì)方，但不是享用同一塊。

　　兩人一起歡歌曼舞，同享歡愉，但仍要各自保持自我，

　　就像琴上的弦雖為同一旋律而振動(dòng)，但琴與弦也是彼此分開(kāi)的。

　　奉獻(xiàn)你們的心，但并不是要你們緊握住對(duì)方的心不放。

　　因?yàn)橹挥猩氖植拍芪站o你們的心。

　　And stand together, yet not too near together:

　　For the pillars of the temple stand apart,

　　And the oak tree and the cypress grow not in each other's shadow.
