A few years ago, USA Today named the star of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Sarah Michelle Gellar, the epitome of the modern feminist. Declaring with her take-no-prisoners attitude...vampire-slaying Buffy Summers has become... a feminist hero who's smart, tough and self-reliant, the beautiful blonde was apotheosized by younger girls. When asked about feminism, she explained, Feminism sort of has a negative connotation. It makes you think of women that don't shave their legs. Does Gellar consider herself a feminist? I hate the word, she replied. Why is the public so uncomfortable with the word feminism? Society implores women to strive to be smart and strong, but to be too smart or too strong is discouraged. Instead, too many settle for being a Buffy, a female with incredible potential kept in check by contemporary culture's definition of woman.

Last year, one of my teachers cracked a sexist joke and I commented that I found it inappropriate. He informed me the class was mature enough for such content. After class ended, a male student rudely inquired, Are you a feminist? as if it were a disease. I immediately reverted to a defensive mode, feeling the burden to justify not only my opinions, but also the entire platform of feminism; for a moment, like Gellar, I did not want to associate myself with a term so disgraceful. Looking back on the incident, I wish I would have had the courage I now possess to defend my beliefs. I am willing to take the risk of standing up against a popular opinion if I do not believe it to be right.

Perhaps I illuminate the paradox many modern women face. On one hand, I embody the prototypical, devoted female, assuaging the plight of Romanian orphans and donating countless hours to the Second Harvest Food Bank of the Inland Northwest. Numerous local and national accolades verify my role as a nurturer and do-gooder. But when I step into a cross-examination debate round where the object is to establish your case and tear apart the opposing side, I risk being considered too assertive, too aggressive, and too competitive, while all of these traits are seen as desirable qualities in my male opponents. Sadly, many believe that to be feminine one must remain passive, a role I refuse to accept.

Am I a feminist? If that means I take risks to make my convictions known and strive to be smart and strong, then people can call me that if society must label me. But feminism does not define who I am, it's merely a term to describe some of my principles. I do not advocate every issue grounded in the feminist agenda. Feminism neglects my passion for competition, my desire to enact change, and my love of history. Feminism fails to capture my compelling feelings on Weapons of Mass Destruction or on the high levels of poverty in my hometown of Spokane. No one term elucidates my fear of failure, nor my aspiration to transform others through journalism. Instead, feminism is just one of the many terms I use to express myself, and to differentiate myself from Buffy.

1、語(yǔ)言水平

法國(guó)的語(yǔ)言考試，一般來(lái)說(shuō)，大家可以選擇DELF或者TCF。其中，DELF由6種不同的獨(dú)立文憑組成，分別對(duì)應(yīng)《歐洲語(yǔ)言共同參考框架》的6個(gè)語(yǔ)言水平：A1，A2，B1，B2，C1，C2，一般來(lái)說(shuō)大家達(dá)到B2水準(zhǔn)即可入學(xué);DELF一年只有3次考試，分別在3月、6月和11月，并且報(bào)名時(shí)間固定，所以想要報(bào)名的同學(xué)需要時(shí)刻關(guān)注相關(guān)信息。雖然難易度上TCF會(huì)比DELF簡(jiǎn)單，但由于TCF成績(jī)有效期僅為1年，所以建議同學(xué)們?cè)趪?guó)內(nèi)考取DELF成績(jī)。

2、作品集要求

與英美相比，法國(guó)藝術(shù)留學(xué)作品集創(chuàng)作較為隨意，一般需要準(zhǔn)備5-15個(gè)項(xiàng)目。但作品集項(xiàng)目不會(huì)要求全部項(xiàng)目均為完整流程，如大家作品可以以照片，視頻，草稿，文字描述等任何一種形式呈現(xiàn)。但由于法國(guó)學(xué)校會(huì)按照作品集實(shí)力和水準(zhǔn)決定大家是降級(jí)到大一或是大三，所以作品集中完成4-5個(gè)完整項(xiàng)目十分重要。

法國(guó)的當(dāng)代藝術(shù)更加注重的是作品的觀念性，對(duì)問(wèn)題的發(fā)現(xiàn)和解決的能力。所以法國(guó)院校更看重學(xué)生的表達(dá)欲望，看待事物的角度的創(chuàng)新性以及同學(xué)們解決問(wèn)題時(shí)的不同嘗試。

3、面試

主要三個(gè)部分構(gòu)成：一個(gè)部分是占比80%的非常重要的作品內(nèi)容;再就是占比15%的作品解讀，也就是看你的表達(dá)能力和對(duì)作品的解讀能不能夠打動(dòng)導(dǎo)師;最后5%是交流方式。

首先大家需要將自己的作品集多打印幾份，面試的時(shí)候發(fā)給各個(gè)考官，盡量讓每個(gè)考官都能夠近距離的看到你的作品內(nèi)容，然后去介紹自己創(chuàng)作的想法和未來(lái)想要研究的方向，因?yàn)槟愕淖髌芬霾?，背后也必然需要有一個(gè)強(qiáng)大的理論支撐，所以不僅是要在語(yǔ)言上提高，你自己的思維能力和思維邏輯上也需要提高。

一般最后面試官會(huì)問(wèn)你為什么要報(bào)考我們學(xué)校，和你未來(lái)進(jìn)入到學(xué)校想進(jìn)入哪個(gè)工作室跟哪位老師，所以建議大家提前去準(zhǔn)備一下，了解一下每個(gè)院校不同的專業(yè)，工作室都有哪些設(shè)置，每科工作室是哪個(gè)老師，他的具體作品是什么，你喜不喜歡，想不想跟他這些都要了解清楚，然后做到一個(gè)心中有數(shù)。

留學(xué)法國(guó)注意事項(xiàng)

1、課后：課外見(jiàn)習(xí)多參與，切莫逃避

法國(guó)大學(xué)和學(xué)院的教學(xué)方式有很大不同。在大學(xué)里一般課時(shí)相對(duì)較少，但在課后需要投入相當(dāng)大的精力做筆記整理和閱讀大量的資料，在學(xué)習(xí)里學(xué)生需要占據(jù)主導(dǎo)地位。在學(xué)院里，課時(shí)安排相當(dāng)緊湊，大家要合理安排自己的作息時(shí)間，保證身體健康適應(yīng)留學(xué)生活。

到了高年級(jí)以后各種小組項(xiàng)目會(huì)越來(lái)越多。和同學(xué)合作做這些項(xiàng)目，會(huì)讓你更加適應(yīng)法國(guó)的留學(xué)生活，同時(shí)受益匪淺。我非常希望留學(xué)生能認(rèn)真對(duì)待這些項(xiàng)目，發(fā)揮自己在團(tuán)隊(duì)里的作用，重視團(tuán)隊(duì)合作，同時(shí)也想辦法慢慢在這些項(xiàng)目里培養(yǎng)組織協(xié)調(diào)能力，最終在一些項(xiàng)目中成為，這對(duì)以后就業(yè)、提高工作能力有非常大的用處。

同樣也要認(rèn)真對(duì)待實(shí)習(xí)。一般法國(guó)學(xué)校都非常注重實(shí)習(xí)，這是一個(gè)走向社會(huì)，接觸企業(yè)非常好的機(jī)會(huì)。通過(guò)不同種類、不同企業(yè)，甚至是在不同國(guó)家的實(shí)習(xí)，你一定能夠迅速提高自己在企業(yè)中的適應(yīng)能力和團(tuán)隊(duì)精神。

建議：盡可能加入到外國(guó)同學(xué)的小組，和他們一起做項(xiàng)目作業(yè)，既交了朋友，鍛煉了口語(yǔ)，也基本了解了他們的做事風(fēng)格。在小組作業(yè)中盡量發(fā)揮自己的優(yōu)勢(shì)與長(zhǎng)處，多出力，鍛煉自己。

2、租房：暑期租房要趁早，避開(kāi)高峰

每年7、8月份是學(xué)生放暑假的時(shí)候，會(huì)有許多房子出租，房子比較好找，但等到9月份開(kāi)學(xué)新生到校報(bào)到時(shí)，自然就“一房難求”。而且，在巴黎租房，要小心黑房東，記得仔細(xì)檢查房屋狀況。

建議：如果沒(méi)有因等待學(xué)校通知再搬家的顧慮，那就盡量避開(kāi)租房高峰期(7、8、9月份)，早作打算。在找房過(guò)程中，提前多觀察，多了解行情，對(duì)比一下房租的合理性，切不可只顧貪圖便宜!

3、財(cái)務(wù)：隨身現(xiàn)金不宜多，財(cái)不外露

去法國(guó)時(shí)攜帶1000—2000歐元即可，其余可以帶匯票或者旅行支票。法國(guó)要求國(guó)際學(xué)生一定要在本國(guó)開(kāi)賬戶，賬戶的進(jìn)出記錄會(huì)影響到學(xué)生下一年的居留續(xù)簽。

建議：出行時(shí)，盡量避免攜帶現(xiàn)金，貴重物品(如手機(jī))要不離身。尤其在遇到一些問(wèn)路、問(wèn)時(shí)間，或者莫名其妙打聽(tīng)什么事的人，一定不要被他分散了注意力，他的同伙很有可能就在你的身后

4、醫(yī)療：出國(guó)之前做體檢，對(duì)癥保險(xiǎn)

法國(guó)也要求留學(xué)生購(gòu)買醫(yī)療保險(xiǎn)，一年190—210歐元，可以報(bào)銷普通醫(yī)療費(fèi)用的70%，但不包括牙科和眼科。

建議：學(xué)生在出國(guó)前做一次全面體檢。如果身體有比較大的問(wèn)題留學(xué)生(如有近視、配眼鏡的需要或牙齒經(jīng)常出現(xiàn)問(wèn)題需要看牙醫(yī)的)，可以購(gòu)買一些中、高檔保險(xiǎn)，將眼科和牙科一起包含進(jìn)去。保險(xiǎn)的品種可以自行挑選，比如有種350歐元的保險(xiǎn)就能包括看牙科和眼科的費(fèi)用。
