下面小編給大家?guī)?-12月雅思口語考試預(yù)測范文-Describe a building you like,希望對大家的口語有幫助!

9-12月雅思口語考試預(yù)測范文-Describe a building you like?

You should say:

where it is

what it is used for

how you know about this building

and explain why you like this building

Right in the heart of Beijing, our nation's capital, is a collection of buildings that includes palaces and political offices that have been there for hundreds of years. The architecture is uniquely Chinese in design and absolutely beautiful to behold. The detail in the masonry and roof is like nothing else on this planet. They truly are exceptionally beautiful and impressive to look at. For many years these buildings have been photographed and displayed for all to see.

These days they are not used for much, but instead serve as tourist sites for millions who visit China each year. Tour groups are led through the halls of the palace and other buildings and these visits bring a lot of revenue to the industry. Tourists are blown away by the symmetrical design and delicate details of these buildings. They represent our long history and symbolize our rich culture.

I know about these buildings because all Chinese students are taught their history and value at school. Teachers like to point out their significance and detailed historical value.

For me, the buildings hold a nostalgic value as they represent our long, deep, cultural history. I can just imagine how many famous rulers and decision makers have come and gone in those halls. The buildings help to shape our past and also provide a reminder to the future of the importance of culture and heritage. They make me feel proud to be Chinese.

Ok, well, the building I’ve decided to talk about is the former residence of a Chinese poet, who I think was called Sha Menghai or something like that, and although it’s not really that well-known a building, the reason I’ve chosen to describe it rather than any of the other old places I’ve been to is that I’m pretty sure you won’t have heard any other students talking about this one, so it should hopefully be a bit more interesting for you!

Anyway, I suppose it must have been about 7 or 8 years ago when I went there, so it was quite a while ago, and as for why I visited it, well if I’m gonna be totally honest with you, I wasn’t actually all that keen on going, because at that time I had absolutely no interest in history or poetry, so it wasn’t my idea of fun at all, you know, I would much rather have been at home watching TV! But my parents thought it would be a good idea to take me there, as they said it would help me understand more about Chinese culture and also what life used to be like when they were children. And as well as this, I think they may have also secretly hoped that going there might spark my interest in poetry or calligraphy.

But anyway, as for what people were doing there, well, there wasn’t really that much to see, apart from the calligraphy and photographs which were hanging up on the walls. So people were mainly just walking around the house looking at the various things on the walls and reading the captions which, I have to admit, I didn’t bother doing myself, as I wasn’t the least bit interested in any of it. I guess I was just too young to really appreciate it.

And with regard to how I felt about the building itself, well if truth be told, it wasn’t really all that impressive, because it was basically just a small two-storey house with a little garden running around it. So it probably looked pretty much what most other houses would have looked like 50 years ago. But then again I guess it wasn’t meant to look that impressive, because the whole point of preserving the house was to commemorate the life of the poet, so the focus was on him rather than the building itself.

Describe a job that you would like to do in the future. I think good job is no job but have much money.

Money is good, but I want a job which is also rewarding in other ways. It shouldn’t be boring like some other jobs, and there should be always something unexpected. Thus I’ll feel I am doing something worthwhile.

I have to supervise and know about what’s going on in all the different parts of the company. I have to represent the company in all important decisions. (Chief Executive Officer)

I am a qualified accountant and a member of the management team. I monitor my company’s financial performance, as well as supervising the budgets for various projects and controlling their costs. (Finance Manager)

My job is around the development and training of the managers in the store where I work, and making sure they do their jobs well. Also, I’m responsible for the recruitment of new staff. (Human Resources Manager)

I give advice about all sorts of different things connected with food, such as advice on how to market it, developing new recipes; I also write articles about it. (Marketing Consultant)

比如在談?wù)摴ぷ鲿r(shí),我們可以談?wù)摤F(xiàn)代工作的工作節(jié)奏很快,員工們不得不為heavy workload拼命,很容易feel tired, feel fatigued, feel frustrated, feel depressed,每天都必須do paperwork, meet tight deadlines,很少有時(shí)間take a holiday。 而員工自己也要學(xué)會(huì)arrange time,來increase efficiency,而且經(jīng)常做些運(yùn)動(dòng)來relax,這樣可以使自己feel refreshed,keep fit在工作中have good performance。

Nowadays the pace of work has increased beyond people’s expectations. They are usually overwhelmed with the heavy workload and feel tired. Overwork will result in stress-related illness, such as high blood pressure and ulcer. Employees will give very poor performance in their work.

A festival = A happy family event= An unforgettable event= A traditional event you attended= One favorite meal= A happy experience。

Question 1:

Do you often celebrate festivals in your culture/country?

Answer "yes" or "no" and then give a few brief details of the main festivals, including its meanings and dates.

How do people celebrate them?

special clothes worn at this time ( if any )

Yes, we do. We have many special celebrations(慶祝)in our country throughout the year. The Spring Festival(春節(jié)), the Mid-Autumn Festival(中秋節(jié)), and the Dragon Boat Festival(端午節(jié))are among the most important ones. But even with the same festival, there are some different celebrating activities involved in different parts of China.

Question 2:

What special things do people do during festivals?

注意:問題的關(guān)鍵是special,所以不能僅僅把人們常做的一些事情如“meet their friends”以及“talk with members of family”視為節(jié)日期間的特殊活動(dòng)。

What's the meaning behind these special things and how do people feel about them?
