雅思口語part2話題高分范文:特殊一餐(an unusual meal you had)

1-4月雅思口語新題part2范文之:特殊一餐(an unusual meal you had)

Describe an unusual meal you had

You should say:

Who you were with

Where you went

When it happened

Why it was unusual

The unusual meal I am going to tell you is what I ate with my best friend before graduation. He and I shared the same room and our beds were set together. During the college, we play basketball together, study together and even help each other find our true loves. Oh, a lot of happy memory.

The meal was in the evening before graduation. Next day, we would pursue our own courses. He would go to Xia’men, a southern city in China, to teach in a university, while I would stay here and start my work. We were parted thousands of miles, so that meal was very likely to be our last meal in several years, and it is.

Instead of eating in a restaurant, we bought some food and beer and came back to the dormitory where we lived for four years. We ate, drank and talked. We talked about our ambitions, expectations, lives, and paths ahead until about 4 o’clock in the morning. Then we packed our baggage. He embarked on his way to Xia’men. I took a bus to my small rented room.

In fact, the food that day was not so good, but I always remember this meal and it resurfaces in my memory now and then. After all, it symbolized the end of my college and precious friendship.

雅思口語part2話題參考范文:慶?;顒?an important event that you celebrated)

You should say:

What it was

Where it happened

Why it was important

How people felt about it

1-4月雅思口語話題范文:慶?;顒?an important event that you celebrated)

Well, the important event that i want to talk about today is my mother’s birthday. Last month was my mother’s birthday. In the past the whole family usually went to the restaurant and the cinema to celebrate. However, this year, I decided to do something special since i have been away from home for a long time. So, I planned to prepare a surprise birthday dinner for my mother.

Honestly speaking, preparing the meal alone is a kind of difficult task. Firstly, I downloaded the recipes of my mother’s favorite dishes from the Internet. Secondly, I needed to learn about how to cook those dishes from my father. Thirdly, I needed to guarantee that my mother would not know about this surprise in advance. Luckily, everything went well on my mother’s birthday, and mu mother was moved to tears when she saw the meal I cooked for her.

Basically speaking, my mother’s birthday is an important event in my family since it is a good chance for my family o get together. I think my parents, especially my mother are extremely surprised and moved to this celebration since it is the first time for me to cook for my family.

Moreover, i think this meal symbolizes my love to my mother. When I was young, my mother got up very early to prepare the breakfast for me and sent me to school everyday. Nowadays, i have already grown up and it is the time for me to take care of her.

雅思口語題庫話題part2范文匯總a rule at your school that you agree or disagree(一條校規(guī))

Describe a rule at your school that you agree or disagree

You should say:

What is the rule

Why this rule has to be established

What will happen if we break down this rule?

What are the positive and negative effects of this rule

I’m going to talk about a rule at my primary school. The school I went to wasn’t a pretty relaxed place and in fact there weren’t that many rules and regulations. We were for instance encouraged to speak in class as much as possible because our teachers wanted us to learn how to express ourselves. It was that sort of place – really liberal.

The one rule that I really remember though was that we couldn’t use our mobile phones in class. The school was really strict about this and you could get into a lot of trouble if you became a repeat offender. Normally it wasn’t much of a problem. If a teacher saw a student with a mobile, he’d just tell him to turn it off and pay attention to what he was saying. Then again, there were some teachers who would confiscate any mobile phones they saw at all – even if they were not being used and were just lying on the desk.

I suppose the reason for the rule was to make sure that all the students were paying attention to the teacher or just doing what they were supposed to be doing and not texting their friends or browsing the net. I think the idea was that the school was happy to have kids talking to each other but weren’t nearly so happy if they were writing texts – perhaps because the teacher wouldn’t know what was being said.

Did I like the rule? Not really. I thought that it would have been much better of we’d been allowed to use out phones more. There’re so many great learning apps on phones that it seemed a little silly that we had to learn just on paper.

When I was in high school there was a very strict rule requiring boys to have their hair cut to a certain length – in particular, I mean, to be specific, the hair had to be at least one inch above the collar. I was at a boys school so it didn’t apply to any girls. This was enforced by a teacher who had the job of walking around every Wednesday and checking boys’ hairstyles. I don’t know when the rule was made, but it was a very traditional school and it was a pretty old rule. I think it was standard for that kind of school. At the time, I didn’t like the rule because, like all the other boys, I really wanted to be, err, to have long hair. We thought that hair, long hair, looked good on men. This was in the 1970s when men all had shoulder-length hair and we were, arr, saturated with images of men with hair that was shoulder length or longer, – actors, pop stars, even the politicians. If you look back now, you can see that all of the men at that time had quite long hair. Although the pictures look pretty daggy now, that’s how it was so…. At the time I thought it was an unnecessary rule, and I was mortified on the day when I was given a haircut when the teacher caught me with my hair being too long. The school used to hire an army barber to come in and cut people’s hair if they were, uh, if they were caught breaking the rule. At the time, the school used to talk about encouraging a polite attitude, encouraging a civilised attitude, but I didn’t respect that.
